An Erzurum-based private girls’ dormitory which was confiscated by the government as part of an investigation into the Gülen movement, has been turned into a police station.“The dormitory that used to be owned by FETÖ was taken over by the government and it is now used as the Special Forces Police’s campus,” Erzurum governor Seyfettin Azizoğlu told reporters on Thursday.FETÖ is an abbreviation coined by the government in order to describe the movement. The government accuses Gülen movement of masterminding the July 15 coup attempt while the latter denies any involvement.Turkish government has shut down or took over some 2100 schools, dormitories and universities over their alleged affiliation to the movement since the coup attempt.
