Sydney’s Opera House has lit up with The Silver Fern of New Zealand as a symbol solidarity and respect following the country’s worst act of terrorism.
Former NSW personal trainer Brenton Tarrant, 28, from Grafton, was on Saturday charged with
one count of murder, but with 49 dead and 40 injured from his semiautomatic attack on two Christchurch mosques, more charges will follow.
The gunman posted a 74-page “manifesto” online before the attack, and a 17-minute video was also uploaded of him arming himself and entering a mosque where he started shooting.NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the display was aimed at demonstrating a “deep sense of unity and compassion” towards everyone affected by the attacks.
