Serpil Can, a 33-year-old Turkish housewife who has tested positive for COVID-19, was sent to prison on Thursday in a specially designed jumpsuit, the Kronos news portal reported.
Can is accused of having membership in the Gulen group, which the government accuses of masterminding a coup attempt in 2016. The group denies any involvement.
She has been placed in a solitary confinement in the Bursa state prison.
