The Senate’s powerful privileges committee has called on top-ranking federal police to give evidence about raids on the Home Affairs Department.
The Australian Federal Police’s highest-ranking officers will be dragged before a powerful committee examining raids linked to Peter Dutton’s au pair saga.
The Senate privileges committee on Monday released a report into the August raid on the Home Affairs Department which was part of an investigation into leaked emails about Mr Dutton’s decision to grant visas for European nannies.
AFP commissioner Andrew Colvin, assistant commissioner Debbie Platz and acting commander Joanne Cameron have been called to give more evidence and clarification to the committee over the investigation.
